Covid 19 Safety Standards Recreation Council Programs in County Parks & Recreation buildings.
In accordance with Executive Order Number 20-10-16-01 - Masks are required to be worn by everyone, including program participants and coaches, upon entering the building and at all times while inside the building.
Always promote social distancing between all participants/volunteers/instructors during practice/game/class/program when possible.
When participants arrive for practice/game/class/program, he/she will have a designated area to keep their bag/water with a distance of six feet between each bag.
Each participant MUST bring their own water bottle. ABSOLUTELY NO SHARING OF WATER BOTTLES.
Bel Air Recreation Council suggests that all volunteers/instructors and participants bring their own hand sanitizer for their own use.
Practices/games/classes/programs will be spaced out to allow time for participants and volunteers/instructors to arrive and exit the premises with an attempt to avoid crowding the parking lot and paths as much as possible. In addition, practices/games/classes/programs MUST be kept strictly to the time allotted.
Attendance needs to be taken of all participants, volunteers/instructors and spectators at each activity or each day and maintained by the coach/program.
ALL common equipment, gear and balls MUST be cleaned and sanitized after each practice/game/class/program and during breaks, when possible.
Participants, coaches/instructors and volunteers should avoid huddles and high fives and continue to promote social distancing when possible. No spitting will be allowed either.
If a participant, instructor, coach, volunteer, or household family member has displayed any signs of illness in the most recent 10 days, that person MUST NOT attend practice.
If made aware of a positive COVID-19 test, the program must notify Mike Stritzinger, Recreation Specialist and Richard Hicks, Bel Air Recreation Council President, immediately, who will contact the Health Department for guidance.
Group size will be based on allowable numbers based on 50% of regular program numbers.
All programs must have approval to use facilities.
Bel Air Recreation Council will allow no more than one (1) parent/guardian per participant attend programming in the building to encourage social distancing.
Practices are 100% OPTIONAL and subject to family’s comfort level. We 100% support whatever decision you view is most appropriate for your participants and family members.
